The new voluntary agency is named PRO PRIDE (IN SUPPORT OF PRIDE) with the belief that the very name of the agency would encourage people to realize their latent energy and to determine confidently their fate which lies in their hands.

Mission

PRO PRIDE stands for empowering disadvantaged individuals, families and communities to eradicate poverty by realizing their latent potential.

Fields of Intervention

PRO PRIDE has four approaches:

• Livelihoods promotion

• Non-Formal Education

• Primary Health Care

• Urban Management

• Institution Building

Livelihoods Promotion

• PRO PRIDE wants to promote income generation at an individual, household and community level.

Non-Formal Education

• Facilitate school-age children with no access to education to obtain their basic education

• Facilitate Savings and Credit group members to attain literacy skills.

Urban Management

Assist individuals, households and communities to improve their living environments through new and more effective investments in shelter and urban development.
