Solar Parabolic Cooker

Parabolic reflector cookers concentrate the sun's rays on a pot.  The family size reflector is mainly made out of aluminum.  The general handling is easy and simple.  Virtually any type of food can be cooked in a short time.  It has an efficiency of 34% and can reach more than 200^oc .  In about 7 minutes 1 liter of water will boil.

Community Solar Cooker

The community reflector is made of 7m² of flat mirrors convert sunlight into energy to the cooking pot which is placed in the kitchen.  Depending on the season ,the system could generate to a maximum of 2.8kw.  50lt.of water will boil in about one and a half hour.  It is useful for boarding schools, hospitals, hotels, camps, etc.  Using S-280, it is possible to bake "INJERA".

Solar Water Heater System

The solar water heater is especially designed with a durable hot water storage tank of 100 lt.  The tank is densely layered wit proper installation, which keeps the water warm, day and night.  It is equipped with one set of vertical pipe-type collector.  The pipes are bedded on a layer of insulation covered with a glass sheet.

Solar Oven

It is made of various materials: like wood, metal and insulation material, etc,  It consists of well-insulated box with a double glass lid.  The inside temperature could reach 150^oc.

Solar Food Dryer

Edible food like vegetables, fish or meat (to make "QUANTA") for later period of scarcity can be dried easily and quickly by solar dryers before it gets spoiled.  It consists of warm air collection which the incoming surrounding air is warmed by absorbing the rays of the sunlight and, because warm air rises, it passes through the drying screen on top.

Biogas Appliances

Biogas, a clean burning gas, i.e. Methane, could be produced from human waste, animal manure and rotten plant materials.  Either special biogas appliance is used or LPG equipment is adapted.  Biogas is mainly used in stoves for cooking.  Frequently power engines for milling or generating electricity are fueled with biogas.  The investment cost for such kind of biogas application will be paid back in a short period of time.  Getting proper training is essential not only to avoid problems and failures, but also to effectively promote the technology.

There are of three types.  The 15,30 and 50 lt.  The large version can boil 50 lt. of water with half an hour.
